Computing in 1B

We had to practise logging in to purple mash. We had to find the icon we needed and then complete the 2paint activity. We created a new rocket for Baby Bear in the story Whatever Next!

Forgiveness Design Winner

Congratulations to Nikita R in Y5 for winning the competition to design a picture which represents our new school value of forgiveness. Very close runners up were Edna (Y5) and Seth (Y4). We loved all three of these fantastic entries but were also blown away by the effort the whole school put into this competition. We have a lot of very talented artists in school! Well done everyone! πŸ’š

A sunny adventure for nursery

This week we went to the adventure playground. The children had a brilliant time being active in the open air with their friends. They were all very brave climbing and balancing on all of the equipment, some of them even had a go at jumping safely!

Year 6 Science – Adaptation and Caterpillar Hunt 😊

The children in Year 6 have had fun today searching for ‘caterpillars’ as part of our Science topic of Evolution and Inheritance. They have been learning about how different animals are adapted to suit their environment, and how camouflage helps creatures to survive.Β  They then designed their own imaginary creature with adaptations to help them survive in a rainforest environment.

Cross Country! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

On Tuesday 10th October, children from year 3, 4, 5 and 6 competed in a cross country event at Chetwynd Deer Park. The children were amazing and tried their hardest. All of the staff were incredibly proud of our children. The PE team would like to thank Lisa and Louise, members of the PTFA for giving up their time to attend the event with us! It was a brilliant day!

Y4 Mental Health Day! 🌟

A huge well done to everyone in Year 4 for their amazing work as part of Mental Health Day. The children all came dressed to school in yellow to celebrate ‘Hello Yellow’ and produced fantastic positive affirmations to display in our classrooms. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’›β

Year 6 Hello Yellow 🌞🌻

We have had a wonderful day celebrating ‘Hello Yellow’ and raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing. Year 6 classrooms have never looked so bright and happy!

Well done to all the children who participated in wearing yellow and creating positive aspirations that were shared with their peers. πŸ₯°

Reception celebrate Yellow day!

Today we celebrated World Mental Health day by dressing up in Yellow clothes. It was so lovely to see the children looking so colourful. We talked about how we were feeling and lots of children said they felt happy because of their yellow top or yellow dress. Here are some photos of us all under the balloon arch!

Y5 Ukulele Lessons

This year, children in Year 5 will all receive 10 Ukulele lessons delivered by a music specialist. 5M have began their block of lessons and enjoyed every second!

We learned how to strum upwards and downwards correctly and how to play a simple tune which had rests in.

This week in Year 2 😊

Word, music and question of the week

Word: Sacred. Something that is sacred isΒ believed to be holy and to have a special connection with God.
