The children in Year Four have had a great time looking at heating and melting.

We also used thermometers to check the temperature of different things.

Today, Year Four completed some super work and identified lots of different solids, liquids and gases that they could see in and around Year Four. Very well done! 🙂

We are extremely happy in Year Four!

Today, we completed our work to show people all of the things that make us happy.

A huge well done to the children of Year Four for the respect and empathy shown towards Remembrance.

The children offered some very sensible ideas in their discussions and completed some beautiful work!

This week, we have been looking at famous inventors.

Today, we looked at Thomas Edison. We researched all about his life and then used pastels, crayons and felt tips to create light bulbs.

This week has been Year 4’s week to have laptops. We have practised our typing skills and completed touch typing challenges.

Well done to all of the children. It was great to see how quickly some of your typing skills improved! Some could even type without looking down at their hands!

The Year 4 children have been focussing on being good friends. They imagined that they were making a potion to create their best friend.

The Year 4 teachers would like to thank all of the children for their mature and creative ideas. It was a fantastic afternoon! 🙂

In literacy, we have started our new topic which is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Yesterday, we tasted lots of different sweets and chocolates to give ideas and develop our descriptive vocabulary.
