Teams Assemblies – Thursday 4th February

Hello Year 4.

You should by now have received an invitation to your class assembly via Teams.

The children need their email addresses. See below.

firstname.surname@stgeorgesschool.org.uk

E.g  jane.smith@stgeorgesschool.org.uk

Their password is their normal password they created to use the school laptops.

We strongly recommend trying to log on today to ensure you can access the assembly. If you have not received an invitation, or are having problems logging on, please contact us using the email address below, and we will do our very best to help you.

Microsoft Teams Assemblies

Hello Year 4!

We are getting lots of questions about our live online assemblies on Thursday afternoons. We apologise for not sending the invitations out yet but we are currently having some issues adding all the children to Teams, which our technician is looking into for us. As soon as the issues are resolved, we will be in touch with you again.

It will take a while for all of us to get used to it so please be patient.

We will be using MICROSOFT TEAMS.

The children need their email addresses. See below.

firstname.surname@stgeorgesschool.org.uk

E.g  jane.smith@stgeorgesschool.org.uk

Their password is their normal password they created to use the school laptops.

If for any reason your child cannot remember their password then please email us on the Year 4 team email and we will reset it. It takes at least an hour to reset and work again.

Multiplication Facts

At school, we have lots of different ways to learn our times tables. These videos show you a few ways to work out your 9 times table.  How many of them do you know? Which one would help you the most?

The Rapping Unicorn and other times tables songs can be found on the BBC website.

Here are some activity sheets to print:

9 x table worksheets

This website has lots of good ideas for learning your times tables. Choose a method that suits you and use it to learn a times table that you find tricky.

Virtual Assembly -How do we thank the people who help us?

Picture News Virtual Assembly – 18th January from Picture News on Vimeo.

This is what we have been discussing in school. We have also written prayers for people who help us.  Can you write a prayer?  If you do, perhaps you could send it in to school. We would love to see it!

ART 22.1.21

It’s time to get creative!

Choose a task from the list below:

  1. Relax and unwind with some mindfulness colouring                                                 t-tp-5247-bird-and-candle-themed-mindfulness-colouring-pages-
  2. Draw a portrait. We have studied these in school already so this is a chance to revise and improve your sketching skills.

UPDATED SCIENCE 21.1.21

Hello Year 4,

Today is our last lesson on this topic.  It looks at materials that can be more than one state at a time. Keep sending us your work. We love to see how you are getting on. I have added an extra Powerpoint to help you understand non-Newtonian liquids.
