How amazing are the paintings that year 1 created in Art club tonight! Well done everyone!

Year 1 have loved being taught by Miss Gemma from Gem Academy. They have choreographed their own routine all about mini beasts. Miss Gemma commented on how well the children performed their piece to each other and what fantastic dancers they are!

Miss Gemma will be running an after school club on Mondays for year 1 and 2 students.

Maths: 

We are understanding how to add by making 10. You need to make a full tens frame and count how many you have left to write a new number sentence.

Literacy: 

We are learning how to use speech bubbles today. Think about what the characters might say to each other. Write it down in the speech bubbles. Remember your capital letters, full stops and good gaps.

Go on a hunt around your house to see how many things you can find that are made out of wood, plastic, metal and glass. Record them on the sheet.

Have a go at working out what number is being shown by using dienes. Remember the long one is a ten and the small ones are ones.

Today we are making stick puppets of the characters in the story of the three little pigs. Can you draw the pig and the wolf, make a puppet and act out the story. Think about what the characters might say to each other.

History: 

In History we are looking at stone age houses. See if you can make a stone age picture that you would find on the wall of a stone age house.
