Watch this video on oak academy that shows you how to use a tens frame to subtract. Once you have watched it. you can use this polar bear tens frame to practise taking away 1. For example:

you would put 6 polar bears on the tens frame and then take one of the polar bears away. Then count how many polar bears you have left.
