Queen Elizabeth II ❀

A huge well done to Year 4 for producing some amazing artwork in memory of Queen Elizabeth II. The children showed great levels of maturity and wrote some beautiful messages including thanking the Queen for her service, her kindness and her hard work during her 70 years reign.

Welcome to Year 4! 😊🌈

What a great first week in Year 4! 😎

We are all so impressed with how well the children have returned to school and settled into their new classes. We are really looking forward to the year ahead! 😊

A little reminder that the children should be reading at home 5 times a week as well as practising their spellings. Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be in school by the following Wednesday. Children need to have their PE kits in school Monday – Friday and should take them home at the weekend. 🌞

Please find below our Yearly overview to see what topics we will be covering this year.

Kings and Queens of 1W! πŸ€΄πŸ‘Έ

In today’s History lesson, we looked at the various items a monarch needs. We looked at images of swords, crowns, money, bibles, reading books and a pen. We discussed what each item represents in a Monarchs life and then we decorated our very own crowns πŸ‘‘

Pyjamarama Day! πŸ“•β€

The children in 1W have loved spending the day in their pyjamas and reading to each other! πŸ˜€πŸ‘

NHS heroes stamp design competition! 🌈🌞

The children in 1W have really enjoyed designing their own stamp to celebrate the heroes of the pandemic. As a class, we thought carefully about people who have been our heroes and worked really hard to keep us safe. The children decided to draw pictures of the doctors and nurses from the NHS and lots of other keyworkers. Some children decided to draw Sir Captain Tom Moore as he raised so much money for the NHS! πŸ˜€
