Today, as part of our mental health awareness week, we looked at giving and why it was important. We have made some hearts. We are going to leave the hearts around St. Georges for people to find! โคโคโค

Staying connected ๐Ÿค—

Today we lookedย  at how important staying connected to our friends and family is to our mental health. We created a poster to tell the children who are working at home how much we miss them! โค๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—โค๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ˜โค

Today, we looked at how sleep and being active is important for our mental health. This afternoon, we set ourselves an active challenge:

  • A guided relaxation

Today you are going to read and draw. Read what it says and then draw and colour. There are two sheets to choose from. One has questions on, which is a bit more difficult. You choose which one you do. If you find the words tricky then get someone in your family to read it to you, then you can listen and draw.

Lesson: Find the time 1 hour before and 1 hour after

Use the analogue clock you made on Monday to work out times that will be 1 hour later and 1 hour before.

Lesson: Create different textures using chosen media.

You could take your paper with you and find a building. Use a colouring pencil to rub over the buildingโ€”this will create a texture. Can you find 3 different textures. Once you have done this, piece together a picture.

Today you are going to be authors and write a story. You are going to change the pigs to different animals. So The three Little Cats or The Three Little Monkeys. You choose your ownย  animals. Think about the sequence of the story of The Three Little Pigs.ย ย ย  Follow the same sequence. There is front cover and some pages for you to write on. Remember to draw the pictures to go with your story.

Lesson: Read the time to half past the hour

Yesterday we looked at times showing oโ€™clock. Today we are going to look at half past. When the long hand points to the 6, we call this half past. This is because the minute hand has gone half way around the clock.

Can you remember what the hands on a clock tell us?

Remember the long hand tells us the minutes and the short hand tells us the hour. If the long hand is pointing to the 12, it tells us it is oโ€™clock. If the long hand is pointing to the 12 and the short hour hand is pointing to the 3, it is 3 oโ€™clock.
