New work

Dinosaur work

We hope you’re all well. Last week, we welcomed some reception children back to school. It has been lovely to see some familiar faces. For those of you at home, we hope you’re all staying safe.

For the next 2 weeks, both at home and in school, we’d like to take a look at dinosaurs. There are some ideas on the grid above, however feel free to do anything else you want to.

We’ve made the last few books available on Bug club for you to read which will take you up to the summer holidays and there are some activities on Purple Mash.

As always, we’d love to hear from you on our e-mail address

Stay safe.

From all the Reception team.

Good morning

Good morning everyone.

I hope you’re well.

If you’re finding it a bit tricky at the moment to get your child motivated, there are some ideas below for things you are probably all already doing that you don’t realise count as learning.

They are taken from the website Worcester Speech and Language which has lots of hints and tips on ways to help your child if they are finding the current situation difficult.

As always, feel free to email us at receptionteam@stgeorgesschool.org.uk if you need any help/advice or just want to show us what the children have been up to-we’re missing them all a lot.

Everyday activities that count as learning

Welcome back

Hello everyone.

We hope you’ve had a lovely half term and have enjoyed the sunshine and spent some time outside.

We’re all keeping busy and have been enjoying the sunshine too. We’ve had paddling pools out in the garden playing with our children and have been on many walks exploring the area near where we all live.

You did some super work on farm animals so we thought we’d look at wild animals with the next unit of work. The ideas are below.

We hope you’re all staying safe at home with your family.

Here are some more activities to keep you busy at home over the next fortnight.

Seeing as you’re all being such heroes by staying at home to keep everybody safe, we thought you’d like to do some work on superheroes.

Reading books.

Good morning.

We’re very keen to keep you all reading whilst you’re at home. It helps pass the time, develop your imagination and gives you a chance to show off to your grown ups how well you’ve learnt your phonics this year.

We’ve set books on bug club for you to read at home-take a look if you haven’t logged in for a while. Your user name is the first 4 letters of your first name and the first 4 letters of your surname. Your default password is-password. You can then change it when you log on.

Bug club

If you want to look at some other books, your grown ups can register for free on the website below which will give you access to lots more books to read to keep you busy,
