Family Hubs For Support

Telford & Wrekin Council has opened its third Family Hub in the borough which offers free help and support to residents who are navigating their way through parenting.

The latest Family Hub to open is The Oak which is located at The Wakes in Oakengates. The council also has two other hubs open in the borough: Silver Birch Family Hub in Sutton Hill and Walnut Family Hub in Woodside. Each centre is open Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm. The hubs offer a single location for families to visit to get information, guidance, and support on a range of services, including infant feeding, mental health, healthy lifestyles and parenting classes. In addition to the physical Family hub, information and support is also available on the council’s website at www.telford.gov.uk/familyhubs.

Whole School Handwriting Competition! ✏

Our very first handwriting competition was a huge success and it was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm from the children.

The children were asked to present a poem in their very best handwriting.  Prizes were awarded to the child with consistently neat handwriting and another for the most improved handwriting. Choosing these winners was extremely difficult because everyone tried hard and presented their work beautifully!

Here are some pictures of the Year 2 winners.

Keep up the excellent work, everyone!
