How are you feeling?

Some children struggle to understand how they are feeling. By talking about different emotions and what they mean with a child, you can often help them to feel better. Sometimes, poor behaviour can often be linked to a child not understanding how they are feeling and what they can do about it. Here is a link to an emotions chart which children and parents can use when they are talking about feelings. This could be put on the fridge or in their bedroom so they can see it and use it when talking about how they are feeling that day or when something has happened.

Digital Family Prayer Adventure Maps

Year 4 children have brought home these lovely leaflets.

‘Thy Kingdom Come is a global initiative, in which Christians are called to pray for the nine days between Ascension and Pentecost. We are invited to pray for God’s Spirit to move within the church, equipping us to share God’s love with others and to pay attention to how God is speaking to us today.’ CPO Website

Self-care for Children

Self-care is a huge part of looking after our emotional health and wellbeing. Both adults and children need to remember to take time to look after themselves and have some ‘me-time’. It can be easily forgotten with busy schedules, but here are a few simple self-care ideas for children. What could you try with your child today?

-reading for 10 minutes?

-listening to music?

-ask each other how your days were?

-write down how you feel?

-go for a walk?

-have a hug?

Happy Easter! 😊
