Design Technology in year 1🤩

Well done to everyone today! We looked at stable structures in particular toy car garages. We had to design and build them then test if they worked. We had a lovely time and used a lot of sellotape!

Tigers in year 1

In literacy we are doing an author study. We have been reading The Tiger Who Came To Tea which is written by Judith Kerr. We painted the tiger form the story.

Year 1 – Computing 💻

This week, our Year 1 children learnt how to edit the background when coding on Purple Mash. They also have instructions to the different objects that they placed within their code.

As part of our art unit this term we have been looking at the work of Wassily Kandinsky and how he uses overlapping and circles in his paintings. We practised our overlapping skills with potato printing.

1B at Weston Park!

What a super day we had!

We learnt lots about the vegetables grown and the life cycle of apple trees. We looked at the colours we can find in nature. We also had lots of fun on the adventure playground and we filled our tummies with smores, we had a great day!

Year 1 – Computing 💻

On Wednesday, our Year 1 children worked on ‘Purple Mash’ to create instructions to make a code. They enjoyed moving the fish left, right, up and down.
