Art in year 1.

As part of our portrait unit of work in art we have been looking at backgrounds and the art work of Paul Klee. We used watercolour to paint our backgrounds.

Number Bonds

It is really important that children have a good understanding of the pairs of numbers that make 10. We have watched the video below in class to help us learn about the pairs of numbers that make 10 and we have also played ‘Hit The Button’ to help us practise our number bonds to 10. Have a go at home too…

Come Dine with Me this week in Year 1 ??‍?

This week in Year 1 we took part in the D&T day – Come Dine With Me!

We loved created food for another class in the school. We all sat together and ate what we had made for each other.

Come Dine With Me! ?‍??‍???

A huge well done to all of the children in Year 1 and Year 4 for participating in ‘Come Dine with Me‘. The children spent the morning baking delicious treats for each other and then sat together for an afternoon of tasting in the hall! We all had a lovely time! ??⭐
