Cute pencil mascot wishes you a merry Christmas 2195917 Vector Art at Vecteezy

Exciting news! We’re thrilled to introduce our new Christmas-themed writing competition! We’re on the lookout for imaginative pieces of writing that capture the magic of Christmas.

You’re free to express your creativity in any Christmas writing formโ€”whether it’s a story, poem, comic strip, diary entry, newspaper report, or anything else that sparks your fancy! Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Write a crime report about a mysterious ‘intruder’ on Christmas Eve.
  • Create a poem about Santa falling too sick to work on Christmas Eve.
  • Craft a story about Santa being mistaken for a burglar!

Give all entries to Miss Bibi or Mrs Branford by Monday, December 11th.

What’s even more exciting?

All entries will be compiled into a special book for the school and there are runner-up prizes to be won. We’ll select one outstanding piece from each year group as the winning entry.

So, what are you waiting for? Let the magical writing journey begin!

Also, a big well done to the children who were part of the audience; you showed our school value of respect and did a fantastic job of supporting your peers! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Year 3 Literacy

This week in Literacy we have been looking at different shape poems, we decided to write our own about autumn. The children tried really hard to include similes and alliteration, they had some fantastic ideas!

KS2 Junior Road Safety Officers!

Today the Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO’s) teamed up with the Police community support officers (PCSOs) to conduct a traffic survey outside of school, specifically to see how many people were seen parking on the yellow lines during pick up.

They will now meet with Mrs Watts and the Safety Guardians to come up with a plan to help make the roads near our school, a safer place for children.

A massive thank you toย the PCSOs for their invaluable assistance in this initiative.
