ART 22.1.21

It’s time to get creative!

Choose a task from the list below:

  1. Relax and unwind with some mindfulness colouring                                                 t-tp-5247-bird-and-candle-themed-mindfulness-colouring-pages-
  2. Draw a portrait. We have studied these in school already so this is a chance to revise and improve your sketching skills.

Send your pictures to year4team@stgeorgesschool.org.uk

I bet yours will be better than ours! 🙂

UPDATED SCIENCE 21.1.21

Hello Year 4,

Today is our last lesson on this topic.  It looks at materials that can be more than one state at a time. Keep sending us your work. We love to see how you are getting on. I have added an extra Powerpoint to help you understand non-Newtonian liquids.

UPDATED SCIENCE 20.1.21

Hello, Year 4! If you’re finding the science a bit tricky, or if you fancy something a bit different for today, have a look at the sheets below.

Complete the sheet to show what happens when everyday materials (such as popcorn kernels, bread and ice) are heated. Tip: Irreversible means that the material cannot be turned back to its original state. E.G Once an egg is cooked, it cannot turn back into a raw egg:

In school we are using thermometers, practise your scale-reading skills with this sheet:

Use the knowledge you have to fill in the gaps:

SCIENCE 20.1.21

Hi Year 4,

We are really impressed with your science work so far this week -keep it up! You are doing so well! Today is all about melting and boiling points.

Remember to check BBC bitesize for extra information, if you are unsure about anything or drop us an email at year4team@stgeorgesschool.org.uk to ask us a question.

SCIENCE 19.1.21

Today, we are looking at states of matter -solids, liquids and gases –  and how they change, using the Oak Academy lessons. These lessons contain quizzes (before and after sometimes), a video and worksheets to complete. The worksheets use up a lot of paper, if you are printing, so have a look first. There may things that you can copy out instead.

If there are any parts you are not sure about, have a look on BBC Bitesize (Search for ‘States of Matter’) for extra information.

There seemed to be a problem with the video this morning, so I have uploaded it again. Here it is!

I have also added some ‘fill the gaps’ writing sheets to help you with these lessons, if you are finding them tricky.
