Year 4 Easter Egg Hunt

A big thank you to Miss Harris for organising a fantastic Easter Egg Challenge today. The children had to solve times tables clues and use a map to find each egg.

Year 4 Maths: Fantastic Fractions!

Mrs Holt’s set worked really hard with the fraction cards today. Well done!

St George’s Spelling Bee! 🐝

Yesterday, we hosted our very first inter-school Spelling Bee! Children from five local schools came to take part in our Spelling Bee; the competition was tough, and all children did incredibly well! All of the children who took part were in Years 3 and 4, and we had a wonderful audience of our St George’s Year 3 children to cheer us on! We are so very proud of our brilliant Spelling Bee team- you did yourselves and St George’s proud! Well done!

Musical Instruments! 🎷🎹🎸🎺🎹🎵🎶

In our Science lessons next Friday, Year 4 will be making their very own musical instruments made from recycled materials. Please can you bring in any suitable items from home. For example: plastic bottles, plastic tubs, elastic bands, empty tin cans and empty jars.

Please see the images below for inspiration:

Thanks in advance 😊

We would like to say a huge well done to all the children who took part in the rugby sessions on Monday.  Our rugby coach, Mia, is working with children on their reading in the morning and their PE in the afternoon.  Rugby sessions will continue every Monday until half term so please remember your PE Kit, including joggers, hat etc if the weather is cold.

St George’s C of E Primary School Young Saver Scheme 👛

Just Credit Union Parent Letter

With the support of the ‘Just Credit Union’, we are excited to announce the launch of our new ‘St George’s C of E Primary School Young Saver Scheme.’

This evening, your child should have brought home a double-sided letter explaining everything that you need to know. Please speak to your child’s class teacher tomorrow if this is not the case.

Please find a copy of the letter above, but you will need access to a printer if you are wanting to complete an application form.

We hope that our exciting new initiative will be of interest to your child.
