Year 5 spent yesterday afternoon investigating which solids dissolved into water.

We discovered that sand would not dissolve but coffee, sugar and salt would. The children also learned that when a material dissolves it doesn’t disappear, the molecules just break down to such tiny sizes that we cannot see them anymore. 🔬

This term, we are lucky enough to have an external rugby player coming in to teach rugby lessons. Everyone is learning so much from Jacob! In the afternoon, he then listens to the children read which they really enjoy too. 

The children enjoyed the show, ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’ so much they wanted to learn the songs and draw pictures about the show.

Year 5 also wanted to show their appreciation to the staff and cast at TPS by making a card to say a big thank you for inviting us!😊

Yesterday afternoon, we had an amazing time at Telford Priory Secondary School watching their show, ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’. We laughed, cheered and sang along!

This week is BRITISH SCIENCE WEEK!

The theme for this year is ‘growth’. We have all decorated a plant pot and planted a bulb. 🌸

We cannot wait to watch them grow!🌼

This week we have been spending our afternoons learning how to create games on ‘2Code’ by generating our own coding. We have had a lot of fun and really challenged ourselves!
