Year 6 Home Learning Week 3 (18th January)

Hello Year 6! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Well done for another fantastic week of home learning! You really are making us very proud of you all ๐Ÿฅฐ Below you will find the timetable for Week 3- remember that this is just a guide and you can be flexible with how you structure your learning!

Weekly Timetable 18th January

In English, we will be starting an exciting new writing topic which will be our focus for the next two weeks. You will be learning how to write a non-chronological report, which will be based on the topic of pandas.

In Maths lessons, we will be consolidating our understanding of fractions and we will be practising applying this to different contexts. Next week, we will be moving on to a new area of learning: percentages and their relationship with decimals and fractions. As with last week, some of the maths activities are labelled 1 star or 2 star. (The 1 star activity is more straightforward than the 2 star; choose which activity you would like to do depending on how confident you feel!)

Here are all of the resources that you will need.ย  If you need any support with any of your learning, please contact us at year6team@stgeorgesschool.org.uk and we will be happy to help ๐Ÿ˜Š

Remote Wellbeing Pack – Whole School

Hi everyone,

We hope your first week of home learning has gone smoothly. From next week onwards, we will be popping on a weekly Wellbeing Pack with suggestions of daily activities to help promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Here is next week’s pack:

Week 2 Wellbeing Pack – Whole School

You don’t need to print the pack off – you could use the templates to copy on to a plain piece of paper. There are also some links on the pictures for Monday and Tuesday.

We’d love to hear how you get on!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Evans ๐Ÿ™‚

Home learning so far ๐Ÿ“ž๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“š

Hello year 6, ๐Ÿ–

We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed calling and speaking to you yesterday. ๐Ÿ˜Š

It was lovely to hear your voices and what a wonderful Christmas that you have had and also how successful you have been with the home learning already!

We have had so many of you email your completed work in and have been impressed with the quality so far. We have even received some pictures of the other activities you have been up to… keep them coming. ๐Ÿ‘

As we are unable to have our Friday ‘Celebration Assembly’, tomorrow we will be sharing and celebrating a selection of the pieces of work we have received. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to post them all as there are sooooo many and I don’t think the website would cope (we don’t want it to crash again)! ๐Ÿคช

Make sure you check the website tomorrow though to see if yours is on there! ๐Ÿคฉ

Stay safe ๐ŸŒˆโค
