‘EVERYONE matters, EVERYONE achieves.’
We have a strong link with St George’s Church. Pupils, staff, governors and families enjoy a number of special services together at Church including Harvest, Christmas and Easter. Reverends Lisa and Debbie are regular visitors into school and organise events in Church for us to take the children to such as Experience Easter and Experience Christmas. St George’s Church is used as a learning resource where children develop their own sense of the building and its varying aspects. Links are also made with Lichfield Cathedral, for example by taking part in art projects and visiting this outstanding building. We welcome visitors into school every year to help broaden the children’s understanding of Christianity, and to develop their own faith, such as The Spring Dance Company where Y4 children enjoy creating Christian dances. We also learn about and respect other places of worship by visiting places of worship such as a local Gurdwara and we invite speakers from other faiths into school to speak with our children.
Reverend Lisa and Mr Talbot (Church Warden) are also a valued members of our school’s governing body.
