‘EVERYONE matters, EVERYONE achieves.’
On behalf of all the staff, children, parents and governors I would like to warmly welcome you to St George’s CE Primary School. Our school has a distinctive Christian ethos and caring atmosphere where each child is valued for their individual talents and abilities.
Here at our school a love of learning is promoted within a safe and happy environment in which every person matters. Our core school values of kindness, respect, honesty, responsibility, perseverance, friendship, forgiveness and happiness are at the heart of all aspects of school life. The inclusive school community strives to enable all children to reach their full potential by providing an exciting and well balanced curriculum. No two years are the same at St George’s as we try to continuously develop subjects to meet the pupils’ needs and interests as well as looking for resources, visitors and visits that will enhance learning.
We encourage our pupils to take responsibility for their learning and attendance, to grow in confidence and become independent learners. It is our vision that the children who leave St George’s are happy, successful and well prepared for the next stage of learning as well as being ready to make a valued contribution to society.
St George’s prides itself on providing a wide range of experiences to ensure that our pupils flourish, from residential visits to a vast selection of sporting and other extra-curricular clubs. Pupils are encouraged to help us make our school even better by taking part in pupil voice groups such as the School Council, Worship group, Wellbeing Ambassadors and Eco Warriors.
For new visitors to the website I hope it offers you some insight into our school. Our website contains a lot of information-should you require a paper copy of any of our documents, please ask the school office and we can print it for you free of charge. Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information or would like to come and have a tour of the school. We will be pleased to give you whatever assistance we can.
